there is no need to get dirty trying to find your old writer. They have created the Ultimate Retro desktop PC (right) modeled after the 1954 design classic Philco Predicta. If you look closely, you can see the typewriter-esque keyboard functionality as well as the typical oval-style monitor. By the way, what was the fascination with circular or oval type screens in the earlier days of electronic production? Anyway, the system comes equipped with Windows 7, not necessarily vintage but you could always go with a fancy visual style of old, such as an MS DOS theme (if there even is one).
